Jordan M. Shiff
Hi!
I’m a master’s student in Operations Research at Columbia University, where I focus on using data science and optimization methods to solve public-sector problems. I earned my B.A. in Applied Mathematics from Barnard College in 2025.
My interests include economics, data science, and public policy — especially where they intersect in areas like healthcare, education, and inequality. I’ve conducted research on improving mental health call center efficiency and gender bias detection algorithms, and I previously interned at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
I care deeply about the accessibility of research and career guidance, so please do not hesitate to reach out with questions. If I cannot help, I will try to connect you with someone who can.
You can find my CV [here].
